Nambour Homelessness Response
We’re partnering with the Sunshine Coast Council and local service providers to deliver a place-based response to homelessness in Nambour.
Our Nambour Homelessness Response includes practical actions to support people experiencing homelessness, strengthen local services and deliver more housing options.
These initiatives complement the growing pipeline of more than 300 social and affordable homes underway across the Sunshine Coast region, helping more local families and vulnerable Queenslanders find a place to call home.
What we’re delivering
Enhanced on-the-ground support
Deliver expanded regular outreach to homelessness hotspots and boost mobile support services delivered through IFYS, connecting people sleeping rough with housing assistance and support services.
Expanded crisis and transitional accommodation
Deliver a new crisis and transitional housing project, providing 20 places of temporary supported accommodation for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
More social homes
Deliver eight new social homes, in partnership with Coast2Bay Housing Group, to provide safe and stable housing for people on the social housing register.
