Toowoomba Youth Foyer

We’re proposing to build a youth foyer in Toowoomba to provide accommodation with wraparound support for young people aged 16 to 25 years facing housing insecurity in Toowoomba.

The proposed development will provide 40 units of self-contained accommodation where young people can rent a place to live while being supported into education and employment.

All young tenants must commit to education, training or employment while they are staying at the youth foyer.

Experienced youth support staff will provide 24/7 onsite assistance for the tenants.

While staying at the youth foyer, young people are taught skills such as budgeting to manage living costs, and how to look after a rental property to prepare them for living independently.

We chose Toowoomba as a youth foyer location because there is a high demand for independent and supportive housing for young people.

This project is currently in the design phase.
