Rockhampton Youth Foyer

We’re proposing to build a youth foyer in Rockhampton to provide accommodation with wraparound support for young people aged 16 to 25 years facing housing insecurity in Rockhampton.

The proposed development will provide 40 self-contained units where young people can rent a place to live while receiving 24/7 onsite mentoring and support.

All young tenants must commit to education, training or employment while they are staying at the youth foyer.

Experienced youth support staff will provide 24/7 onsite assistance for the tenants.

While staying at the youth foyer, young people are taught skills such as budgeting to manage living costs, and how to look after a rental property to prepare them for living independently.

We chose Rockhampton as a youth foyer location because there is a high demand for independent and supportive housing for young people.

This project is currently in the design phase.
