Homelessness Ministerial Advisory Council
The Homelessness Ministerial Advisory Council (HMAC) is a forum for the Minister for Housing and Public Works and Minister for Youth to engage with and listen to key industry stakeholders to reduce homelessness in Queensland.

The Council includes representatives from peak bodies, service providers and government agencies.

HMAC meeting summaries

Members of the Homelessness Ministerial Advisory Council (HMAC) held its inaugural meeting on 15 May 2025.
Chaired by the Minister, the meeting covered the following agenda items:
- Priorities from housing and homelessness sector
- Stronger foundations for coordination of homelessness responses
Two Sub-Committees will be established under the HMAC:
- HMAC SEQ Local Government Working Group
- HMAC Supportive Housing Working Group
