Gold Coast Youth Foyer
The Gold Coast Youth Foyer offers 40 young people, aged 16 to 25 years, self-contained single occupancy units where they can rent a home in a safe and stable environment, while being supported to achieve their education and employment goals.
Experienced youth support staff provide 24/7 on-site assistance for the young tenants and ensure support is available when needed.
The Gold Coast Youth Foyer was completed in June 2021. A 4-week non-statutory community consultation began on 27 August 2019 and concluded on 24 September 2019, following engagement with local residents and property owners.
The foyer was constructed by Paynters Pty Ltd.
On-site management and support
The Gold Coast Youth Foyer is managed by Gold Coast Youth Service Inc. in partnership with Community Housing (QLD) Ltd.
Gold Coast Youth Service Inc. manages the Gold Coast Youth Foyer and provides 24-hour support and supervision to the young tenants living there.
Community Housing (QLD) Ltd. provides property and tenancy management of the foyer.
