Multicultural action plan report
The department’s Queensland Multicultural Action Plan reporting for 2024-25 (PDF, 272KB) details how we contribute to the Queensland Government’s Queensland Multicultural Policy – ‘Our story, our future’ through the Queensland Multicultural Action Plan.
The policy focuses on 3 priorities for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and for Queensland as a whole:
- achieving culturally responsive government
- supporting inclusive, harmonious and united communities
- improving economic opportunities.
We contribute to these priorities through 3 focus areas from the Queensland Multicultural Action Plan 2024–25 to 2026–27 (PDF, 2.1MB), namely:
- deliver culturally responsive services
- drive diversity and inclusion across the public sector
- promote social cohesion.
The Multicultural Recognition Act 2016 requires all government agencies to publicly report on their progress on an annual basis.
This ensures transparency and helps the community track how the government is creating positive change. It also gives us a clear picture of where we need to adjust our investments or services to make a greater impact.
