QuickStarts Qld
QuickStarts Qld is a capital investment program to accelerate the delivery of social housing and increase the supply of a range of housing types, based on local need.
While many of these projects are planned and ready to build, we are also partnering with registered community housing providers to drive new supply across Queensland.
Bringing forward capital investment and partnering with the sector enables us to accelerate projects. Shorter timeframes enable us to better support the changing needs of our regional cities and towns, and manage housing demand in our major population areas.
QuickStarts Qld – round 2 is seeking proposals from registered community housing providers (RCHPs) or their partner organisations seeking state capital grant funding to increase the supply of social housing in target regions through either:
- new construction projects
- acquisition of new off-the-plan, turn-key projects.
See the Request for detailed proposal – statement of requirements (PDF, 453.85 KB), with the:

Target regions
We will prioritise proposals for new social housing supply in these target regions but will also accept proposals for other Queensland areas.
Target regions:
- Far North Queensland
- North Queensland
- Mackay/Whitsundays
- Central Queensland
- Brisbane
- Gold Coast
- Wide Bay Region.
We are progressing well in establishing a pipeline of construction to deliver 3,265 new social homes across the state.
This pipeline includes accelerating work already programmed under the Queensland Housing Strategy. QuickStarts Qld – round 2 aims to bring forward new projects to complete this pipeline.
