QuickStarts Qld
QuickStarts Qld advances the delivery of social housing investments and increases the supply of a range of housing types, based on local need.
While many of these projects are planned and ready to build, we will also partner with registered community housing providers to drive new supply across Queensland. Bringing forward capital investment, and partnering with the sector, allows us to accelerate projects that support the changing needs of our regional cities and towns and manage housing demand in our major population areas.
We’ve defined 9 development regions across Queensland, made up of local government areas from the far north to our southern border, and west through the Queensland outback.
We’ll establish a 4-year pipeline of construction, to deliver 2,765 new homes in these areas, that includes accelerating work already programmed under the Queensland Housing Strategy. The approach may include strategic land or property purchases based on local need.
This construction program is being delivered through partnerships with community housing providers as well as capital build projects delivered by government.
