List of registered legal entities

Under the Housing Act 2003 the State can, through the Department of Housing, assist legal entities to provide housing services to people in need. All legal entities receiving assistance from the Department of Housing under the Housing Act 2003 must be registered as providers under that Act. The department maintains a list of all providers who are registered legal entities. The list is current at September 2006. A legal entity is an incorporated body that can enter into contracts which can be enforced by and against that entity. A body may be incorporated under different state and federal legislation, e.g. Associations Incorporations Act 1981 (Qld) and Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
