If you are in need of immediate or emergency accommodation, contact your local Department of Housing office and they will advise you of your options.
How can the department help me?
Through its Community Rent Scheme, the department provides funds to community organisations to provide short- to medium-term accommodation to public housing applicants in severe and immediate housing need.
Through A Place to Call Home, the Queensland Government gives families who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, a social housing rental property for the duration of their need and up to 12 months' coordinated help across the spectrum of social support services.
