An overview of home modification assistance
A number of services are available to people who need assistance with modifying or modified housing including:
Older people and people with disabilities who wish to remain living in their home can access Home Assist Secure services to remove some of the practical housing-related difficulties they experience.
Older people, people with disabilities and their carers can access Home and Community Care Home Modification Services which aim to assist them with modifications at their home.
Eligible home owners who require financial assistance for home modifications for either themselves or a household member can apply for a Queensland Home Adapt Loan. The loan is designed to assist older people and people with a disability to undertake their usual day to day activities with greater safety and independence.
