Referral and information services

Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre
The Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre is a free and confidential information service for older persons, people with a disability, carers, health professionals and other service providers.

Centres are able to provide information on the kinds of services that are available within the community such as accommodation, transport, health and mobility aids, home maintenance and modification, respite, personal care, home help, legal and advocacy services, social support and volunteer opportunities.

There are over 50 Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centres throughout Australia.

Disability Information Service, Department of Communities (Disability Services)
The Queensland Disability Information Service is a free, state-wide information, resource and referral service that can also be contacted for information about home modification providers in the community.

The service has a range of publications and resources to assist people with a disability, their family, friends, carers and service providers.
