The Department of Housing has developed a Multicultural Action Plan that identifies the key objectives and outcomes to be delivered from 2008-11 under the Queensland Government policy, Multicultural Queensland – making a world of difference. The plan will be reviewed annually.
The Queensland Government's Multicultural Queensland – making a world of difference policy requires government departments to develop an action plan to progress multicultural development within their agency. The strategies to be addressed by the department as part of this policy are:
- Strengthening multiculturalism in the Queensland public sector
- Supporting communities
- Community relations and anti-racism, and
- Productive and diverse economic strategy.
