The Housing Act 2003 commenced on 1 January 2004 and provides a modern, effective and accountable system for the delivery of housing and housing-related services by the State Government and funded organisations in Queensland.
The Housing Act 2003 allows for the regulation of organisations that are funded by the Department of Housing to provide housing and housing-related services.
The Housing Act 2003 is now in force. This means that the former State Housing Act 1945 has been repealed and no longer operates.
