About our Minister
Karen Struthers was sworn in as the Minister for Community Services and Housing and Minister for Women on 26 March 2009.
The legislative framework
The Housing Act 2003, which commenced on 1 January 2004, facilitated a contemporary response to the challenges facing the former Department of Housing.
Strategic policy direction
The Queensland Government seeks to improve Queenslanders' access to safe, secure, appropriate and affordable housing.
Appeals and Review
Some decisions made by staff about housing services provided to clients or registered providers can be appealed.
Employment
